Thanks to Naira for this topic!
BULLYING

INTRODUCTION -  WHY I CHOSE BULLYING AS MY TOPIC
Well, I’m going to talk about one of the most important problems in our schools at present. It is bullying.  I have chosen this topic because  I work as a P.E. teacher and this is an issue which I’m worried about.

A SAD CASE OF BULLYING
Last month,  on TV, I saw that Arancha, who was a disabled teenager, committed suicide after being bullied in her school in Madrid. This is a real case in my country. I was deeply saddened when I saw it, I couldn’t believe my eyes, I cannot imagine how frightened the girl must have been  to  commit suicide.

MY CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCE  IN SCHOOL
I remember when I went to Primary and Secondary school, children used to have little arguments but they were really little problems that they used to solve very quickly. I must say that if someone had been bullied, the students would have tried to defend the victim.

Another curious fact is that they didn’t have the chance to use  mobiles phones, tablets, computers, laptop… because they didn’t exist. Perhaps if they had had all the technology that children have at present, they would have sent emails, text messages, Facebook posts and other social media to hurt someone, like what  happens currently.
I personally believe that the more people work towards a solution, the better future generations will be.

Have you ever stopped to think how terrible bullying is? Have you ever thought what consequences bullying can have?

WHERE, WHAT, WHEN AND WHY BULLYING OCCURS
Bullying might be defined in many different ways but in general we could say that it is   aggressive behaviour which someone uses to  cause harm, fear, intimidate to dominate other.  This behaviour is typically repeated over time.

Secondly, where might people suffer bullying?  bullying   can happen in any context in which humans interact with each other. This includes family, parks,   workplaces, home, neighbourhoods and so on, but  I am going to focus on  schools. Lots of Psychologists consider that It may occur more frequently during Physical Education classes and activities such a   break time , it can also take place in school hallways, bathrooms, on school buses, in classes that require group work and or after school activities.

On the other hand, how could people hurt somebody? Experts say that this happens because the bully is full of inferiority complexes.

Bullying can cause both physical  and psychological  damage. The former can be, for example

pinching, shoving, hitting. The latter,   the bully  usually uses 3 types of techniques
·         Verbal, they usually make sexist, racist or homophobic comments.
·         Social, the best common is excluding others from a group, saying bad words about the person.
·         Written, writing insulting notes. It commonly knows as cyber bullying in which they use  technology to send emails, photos, add bad comments in social networks
